Privacy policy

Your account. When you sign in we store your name, email address and profile picture from the sign-in provider.

Your X bookmarks. The posts you've bookmarked on X: their text, author, links, images and public counts (likes, reposts, bookmarks). These make up your library.

Your X connection. If you connect your X account, we store its username and ID and the access tokens X gives us, encrypted, so Squidmark can check your newest bookmarks every day. The connection is read-only: Squidmark can't post, like, reply or change anything on your X account.

How you use your library. Folders, tags, what you've read, your reading preferences and your chats with your library, so those features work.

The extension does one thing: it imports your own X bookmarks into your Squidmark library. It only does so when you start an import, and it only reads your bookmarks list on x.com. It doesn't read your other pages, messages or browsing history, and it never posts or changes anything on X.

While an import runs, the extension reads your bookmarks from x.com in your browser, using your existing x.com sign-in, and sends them to your Squidmark account. It keeps a connection token and the import's progress in the extension's local storage on your computer. Disconnecting the extension deletes the token.

The extension's use of this data is limited to that purpose. It isn't sold, isn't used for advertising, and isn't used to determine creditworthiness.

Only to run Squidmark for you: to store and show your library, keep it in sync with X, summarize and tag your bookmarks, sort them into folders, pick daily reads, and answer questions about your library. We don't sell your data, share it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.

Squidmark runs on a few providers, each handling data only to do its part:

• Vercel: hosting the website.
• Supabase: the database where your account and library are stored.
• Clerk: sign-in.
• Trigger.dev: background jobs such as bookmark syncs.
• OpenAI and OpenRouter: AI summaries, tags and library chat. Bookmark text is sent to generate them.
• Firecrawl: fetching the pages your bookmarks link to, for their titles and previews.
• Dodo Payments: billing, if you subscribe. We never see your full card details.

We keep your library for as long as you have a Squidmark account. You can delete individual bookmarks at any time, and disconnect X or the extension from Settings. To delete your account and everything in it, go to Settings → Account → Delete account: your library is deleted right away, your subscription is cancelled, and Squidmark’s access to your X account is revoked. If you can’t sign in, email squidmark.ceo@gmail.com and we’ll delete it within 30 days.

Data travels over HTTPS. Your library is only reachable through Squidmark's servers, and X access tokens are encrypted before they're stored.
