Overview
Squidmark helps you save links and selected text from webpages, organize them into collections, and revisit them in your Squidmark library. This policy explains the information we handle to provide that service.
Information we handle
When you use Squidmark, we may handle:
- Account and authentication information used to sign you in.
- Content you choose to save, including links, titles, selected text, source page URLs, favicon URLs, and links extracted from an element you choose.
- Collection names, colors, ordering, and other organization choices you create.
- Limited local extension data, including cached collections and saves waiting to sync after a connection or service failure.
Squidmark does not save everything you browse. It handles webpage content only when you use the extension to save a link, selected text, or an element.
How we use information
We use this information to:
- Authenticate you and keep your Squidmark account working.
- Save, synchronize, display, search, and organize your library.
- Recover saves that could not be synced immediately.
- Maintain security, prevent misuse, and provide support.
- When AI organization is enabled, suggest collections, descriptions, and action items for content you save.
Service providers and AI
We use service providers to operate Squidmark: Clerk for authentication, Supabase for application data storage, and an AI service provider for optional organization features. We share information with these providers only as needed to run, secure, and improve Squidmark's user-facing features.
If AI organization is enabled, the content you save is sent to Squidmark's backend and AI service provider so it can generate organization suggestions. We do not sell your saved content or browsing data, and we do not use it for interest-based advertising.
Storage, security, and retention
We use HTTPS to transmit information between the extension, website, and our service providers. Saved content is retained while your account is active and for a limited period afterward when reasonably needed to operate the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements.
The extension may temporarily store unsynced saves and cached collection data locally in Chrome. You can remove the extension to clear its local extension storage.
Your choices
You can delete saved items and collections from Squidmark. To ask about your account or request deletion of your data, email hrdk.biz@gmail.com.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as Squidmark changes. We will post the updated version here and revise the “Last updated” date. For privacy questions, contact hrdk.biz@gmail.com.
